Thermoplastic Microfluidic Bonding

We provide solvent bonding for injection molded thermoplastic microfluidic components. Designed for companies preparing for pilot runs or serial production.

We support bonding of:

  • COC (cyclic olefin copolymer)

  • COP (cyclic olefin polymer)

  • PMMA microfluidic substrates

  • Select engineering thermoplastics

By performing molding, bonding, and validation within one controlled environment, we reduce:

  • Supplier handoffs

  • Alignment variability

  • Sealing inconsistency

  • Scale-up risk

Cleanroom Bonding and Assembly

All bonding and final assembly operations are performed in an ISO-certified cleanroom environment.

We control:

  • Particle contamination

  • Humidity and temperature

  • Surface cleanliness prior to sealing

  • Handling of sensitive microstructures

For diagnostic and life science devices, even micro-debris can obstruct channels or affect assay performance. Cleanroom bonding reduces this risk.

Interfacial bonding of microfluidic chip preserving microchannel geometry and integrity

Interfacial Bonding

Our solvent bonding processes are designed to preserve microchannel geometry and prevent deformation under operational pressure and thermal load.

Process control focuses on:

  • Controlled solvent diffusion

  • Interfacial stress mitigation

  • Geometry preservation at micro scale

  • Production-level repeatability

Bonding parameters are defined, locked, and monitored within validated production windows to ensure consistent performance across lots.

Validation and Quality Checks

Every bonded assembly undergoes structural and functional validation, including:

  • Leak integrity testing

  • Pressure resistance characterization

  • Optical interface inspection

  • Dimensional control of critical regions

All validation is conducted under cleanroom conditions with full batch traceability, supporting regulated medical and diagnostic applications.
